Formation of sp hybridized orbitals from the constituent orbitals is as follows: Each sp orbital from C atom bond each other and remaining two orbitals are involved in bonding with other 2 ‘H’ atoms, un‐hybridized orbitals overlap side way overlap forming the C₂H₂.
